“O wad some Power the giftie gie us
To see oursels as ithers see us!” -Robert Burns
No doubt you’ll observe some things about me as I write on this blog. One that immediately comes to the fore is my tendency to verbosity… I started this blog to motivate myself to write well, and regularly, though I realize that blogging is no longer cool!
I love to read, and enjoy a variety of genres, but my favorite would probably be irreverent, philosophical non-fiction.
My mania for reading sparked my interest in writing, and I began a newspaper when I was 11. (It fizzled a year later.) I have journaled for years, as well. Recently I took a writing class at Bible school, and reveled in being made to write!
I believe in Jesus, even though I don’t always understand Him. Sometimes I’m on the “borderlands of belief”, in Philip Yancey’s elegant turn of phrase, and sometimes I’m in the ecstasies of inspiration, but at all times I sense the presence of Someone who is sometimes guiding, sometimes pursuing, always loving.
I get a real kick out of drama… I am nineteen… I have five brothers and two sisters… I live in Kansas… and I think random facts are terrific.
Oh my giddy aunt!!!! My cousin Jewel has grown up so fast…I love that you are silently or probably not so silently protesting facebook
keep up the good work soldier and please don’t cave like little Jessediah. I’ve been thinking about starting a blog……I think you have inspired me….onward I go….I love you so very much and await reading your blog posts fresh off the press
you make me smile, laugh, cry, and pee my pants….I love you more!
I finally found my way to your blog. So much to read. Hopefully I’ll have time in the coming weeks to read your thoughts….I always enjoy getting a peak into that head of yours.
